Now, it just sits as an un-used industrial waste land with costly maintainence issues for taxpayers to foot. Put this property back on the tax rools, providing housing for vanishing middle class, providing jobs construction and long term retail, service, professional and medical employment opportunities, on top of getting a great open space with tons of opportunites for this community to have many types of activities on this site, all of this is a great chance for this community to make a huge advancement to on many different levels. Hope to see the site myself in a few months...TheCommisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14712967845031648192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4401523208681336634.post-58591443521320311142009-03-05T10:43:00.000-05:002009-03-05T10:43:00.000-05:00Amazing photos of something not only historic, but...Amazing photos of something not only historic, but what will soon be forgotten. Are the main safety concerns the manholes if the site were to become a park? Cannot the covers be welded shut? Worries that some kid will split their head open playing football or Frisbee? I have not attended the meetings. Maybe I will, but it seems like a lost cause. This part of the city desperately needs green space. Promise a Trader Joe’s and housing for thousands. All I see are dollar and checks cashed stores, and other strip mall amenities like those equal to 4th NE and Rhode Island Avenue, and H-Street NE. Oh, and lots of traffic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4401523208681336634.post-32821514271639768682009-03-03T16:38:00.000-05:002009-03-03T16:38:00.000-05:00mr. kirk: i'm not sure what you're talking about. ...mr. kirk: i'm not sure what you're talking about. i believe you might be confusing me for someone else. i did not speak at the recent forum at trinity.IMGophhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10389077782536090328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4401523208681336634.post-64337935573173028052009-03-03T16:35:00.000-05:002009-03-03T16:35:00.000-05:00This is the place you called an eyesore at the pub...This is the place you called an eyesore at the public meeting?
