Since January 30, 2008, Shaw residents had no clue how their library was evolving. Given the feedback from the community on that night, it seemed many people liked the design images shown.
Gone were the slot windows of the old brutalist building, replaced with a modern looking library with lots of glass.
Seven months later, DCPL finally puts the next iteration of the library designs on the website and boy how people have been shocked.
The Shaw Library Study Group has discussed these changes and is planning an outreach event this Saturday to get your feedback.
