well, no longer will i refer to this building on the southwest corner of 2nd and rhode island NW as the old tena market. apparently, it will be the timor market now (read that in scott roberts' bloomingdale email this morning). so, it's gone from being named after a town on the amazonian frontier in ecuador, to the newest country in southeast asia. and that's your geography lesson for the day. :)(i was hoping it would be a restaurant called timor, and we'd be getting southeast asian cuisine....darn.)
There really aren't enough corner markets where you can buy slim jims, rolling papers, and a forty. I'm looking forward to Timor!

Actually this place turned out amazingly well... I was floored when I went in there tonight, it is nothing like Tena.
ReplyDeleteyeah, i walked in too. looking nice, it'll be interesting to see when they are fully stocked up. i'll be buying produce there if they keep a good selection (anything is better than giant!)
