well, there goes the neighborhood
well, the post's neighborhood series found out about us. here's the article.
it's a shame that the whole article is about nothing but house prices, and doesn't mention the positive commercial changes that have happened lately. now, if we can just convince someone to put something worthwhile in the AMAZING storefront and (future) sidewalk café space there at 1st and seaton...

Just be glad the Post comment thread isn't full of the usual suburban ranters ("I'd NEVER live in DC! I heard someone was robbed there once!")
These are the same people who nervously roll up the window of their Suburban when they see a suspicious Black guy wearing a business suit, carrying an Italian leather attache case, and walking down K Street.
Has anyone heard anything about the 2st and T spot which was supposed to be opened by the guys who own Heller's and Veranda? Is there anything to suggest this is a certainty?
Sorry - meant 1st and T.
There was cinderblock behind the glass front of 1st and T when I went by there the other day.
i think that block has been in there for a long time....wish they would hurry up and do something with that space!
